【辨】weary, tired和exhausted。它们都指“疲倦的”。exhausted 语气较强,指“筋疲力尽的”,即极为疲劳的,如:The exhausted mother smiled at the wail of her newborn baby. 听到新生儿的哭叫声,疲倦极了的母亲笑了。tired为常用词,泛指由于劳动、工作、休息不足或其他原因导致的疲倦,如:I was too tired to walk any further. 我累得再也走不动了。weary则指由于连续不断地进行某一活动而引起的疲劳,含有因为重复而令人厌烦之意,如:He began to feel weary of the work. 他开始对工作感到厌倦了。
