1. many , much, far , a little, a bit, slightly, a great(good) deal, a lot , completely

e.g. The sun is much bigger than the earth.

They will come back a little later.

2. 比较级前用any 和no:

e.g. He was too tired to walk any further.

   No sooner had he left the house than it began to rain.

3. 比较级用“数词＋名词”　

e.g. He is two inches taller than his father.

4. 比较级可与even, still, yet 连用表示“更加”

e.g. In that small room he seemed even bigger than I remembered him.

    This is bad; that is yet worse.

5. 比较两个形容词，须用more… than…

e.g. That little girl is more shy than timid.

6. “比较级＋and＋比较级”或“more and more +原级”

e.g. Things are getting better and better every day.

   He is becoming more and more active in sports.

7.“The +比较级… the +比较级”

e.g. The harder she worked, the more progress she made.

The rarer it is, the more it is worth.

The book is worth buying.
